Greetings

Well, I wasn't sure how to start but here it goes. I'm a big Hugh Hewitt fan, and this blog is due to his influence. The name of the blog comes from the Bible verse about the man with a quiver full will be listened to. My quiver is up to eight right now. I think that's pretty full, though I know others with more. We are a faithful Roman Catholic Family. I am hoping to point his blog in the direction of commenting on Catholic culture and events that influence the news and world at large particularly in America, and maybe some of that cultures and events that should have that influence.
Let me know if you have any Ideas.

So what do FedEx drivers think about all day? Are they thinking about the next package, the next signature, stairs or wait for the elevator, looking sharp next to the UPS guy or gal? Maybe what's for dinner? Did DHL really deliver a package to my home when I was gone? Was my wife chatty with the DHL driver? Are they self-conscious? Are people really laughing at me because I'm wearing shorts and it's only 17 degrees outside? Or are they thinking about the ceremonial works of the Torah? How cool it would be to participate? Are they parsing it into distinct ceremonial, moral, and judicial codes in order to more effectively dialogue with Protestants? Do they find this to be a challange or anacharonism in St. Paul's thought? Are they thinking of perhaps the Prodigal Package that went out but never returned? Was the package predestined to be lost from the beginning? Was the package one of the elect packages and the other packages "left behind" as reprobate packaging?

(A don't have 3 minutes to sign-up. I knows it more. These sites just lure you in with many promises. Maybe later. I'm still waiting for my FexEx package to arrive. How I wish this package would understand that I await with open arms for it!)

Quiver... I was initially thinking "even the demons believe and shudder" (James 2: 19b). Hope "you do well" (James 2: 19a) with this blog.

Have you ever read works from Marshall McLuhan, Canadian philosopher (1911-1980) ? He was received into the Catholic Church later in his life. He is very good on commenting on the mass media and its influence. He is a great source of quotes.

"Many a good argument is ruined by some fool who knows what he is talking about."

"The modern media are engaged in a Luciferian conspiracy against the truth."

"The medium is the message."

Certain statements you never forget...
